Chives (细香葱)
Allium schoenoprasum
Add chives at the end of cooking or flavour will disappear. They are delicious freshly picked and snipped as a garnish or flavour in omelettes or scambled eggs, salads and soups. They can be mashed into soft cheeses or sprinkled onto grilled meats. Add to sour cream as a filling for jacket potatoes.
